Detachment 16, 18th Weather Sqdn. located at Bordeaux, France. Opened 
this station in November 1951. Pictures were taken in 1953. 

The one in blues is from March 1953 and the khaki's is from June 1953. I'm the character in the back row, second from left in both shots. The dark, curly headed officer next to me in the summer uniform picture is Maj. Arthur Yorra, later Col. He commanded the 24th Wx Sqdn at a later date. He had just come from AWS Hdqtr's in DC to take on our detachment.
