AWS Observer Magazine
The AWS Observer was in print from the mid-1950's as a monthly black and white tabloid newspaper then as a color magazine from January 1995 until the last Observer in November/December 2006.
In May 2026, we completed manually digitizing 344 Observers from the 1950's through the mid-1990's that were provided by Craig Kirwin. The aging and sometimes fragile paper copies were scanned, page by page, then each page was cropped, edited to remove the aging tinge, and finally, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) was applied to make them searchable.
